Japanese painter Riusuke Fukahori paints what appear to be three-dimensional fish floating in water.
I love the effective and simple process he uses. By pouring a small amount of resin down and then painting ontop of this and repeating the process, he is able to create 3D forms using a 2D painting technique.
I love how this technique uses the concept of modern 3D printing but holds onto the tactile quality of painting. See how he does it the link below
Light Illuminating Blinds. Add an artificial Window/ light source where ever you want .. Using Electro Luminescent Paper, it emits light from the underside of each layer of the blind. Sites all in spanish .. so thats all I could make out

'firemen walk with us' by rietveld landscape installed with the dark eiffel building in maastricht, the netherlands. It addresses fire safety in relationship to the temporary use of vacant buildings as being a major problem that needs to be resolved.
Here is one of the videos or it in action
Project by London based animator Nicos Livesey is a really nice way to create aniamted pattern in a very tangible way, I love the visual effect. Consisting in lots of different colorful forms and patterns made of plasticine and modeled in many ways and then sliced in 2mm width pieces for each frame.
Texture Mapping is a technique of applying a texture to a 3D objects surface. When pealed off and displayed flat .. it makes some interesting (and freaky) shapes and forms. Check out these body texture maps.
Kinetic organic sculptures by Bernard Reyboz .. Wow
milan-based collective carnovsky (francesco rugi and silvia quintanilla) presents ‘RGB’,
an exhibition which showcases a series of wallpapers that mutate and interact with different chromatic stimulus.
the wall coverings consist of three different patterns (in red, yellow and blue respectively) that when overlapped,
result in a disorientation of images. when colors and patterns mix up, the lines and shapes entwine becoming oneiric
and not completely clear. through a filter (a colored light or transparent material) it is possible to see clearly the layers
in which the image is composed. each one of the red, green and blue (RGB) filters serve to reveal just one of the
three patterns, hiding the other two.
fluid dress … what more can I say
just a follow up to the previous post .. this is the whole range of their 3D textile prints
Robert and I met about 5 years ago, since we have tried to find a way to collaborate, as we both love each others work ….. no idea how as yet .. bit something will happen .. one day.
